Instant Capsicum/ Vegetable Ravva Dosa

Ingredients:

Samolina/Bombay ravva/ upma ravva-------------1cup
Rice flour-----------------------------------------1cup
Maida/All purpose flour---------------------------1/4 cup
Salt-----------------------------------------------to taste
Cumin seeds -------------------------------------1/2 table spoon
Green chilies(finely chopped)---------------------1 table spoon
Ciliantro/coriander--------------------------------1ts finely chopped
Curry leafs----------------------------------------1/2ts finely chopped
Capsicum-----------------------------------------2ts finely chopped
carrot---------------------------------------------1ts grated
Onions--------------------------------------------3ts finely chopped

Method:
1. Take a large bowl and add chilies, onions, cliantro, curry leaf, carrot, capsicum, salt, cumin seeds and mix
    them.

2. Add all flours and mix them.

3. Add water and mix them well, the batter should be very thin just like a butter milk. Look for the taste of
salt now and add more if u require.

4. Take a flat pan and heat it. Now take half onion and rub its juice on the pan which makes a thin solid non
    stick layer on pan.
5. Sprinkle batter on to the pan ( like you sprinkle water).
6. Add 2ts of oil on to the dosa, cover with lid and let it cook under medium flame untill dosa turns golden
    brown.

7. Now the veg ravva dosa is ready to serve. Enjoy with coconut chutney and sambar.

    Hi Deepthi,

Thanks for the recipe. Followed everything what you said, unfortunately after I put it on the pan, it turned out that it was very watery and could not lift up, it was almost like a paste :-( , it wasn't crisp, but the taste was good. You said to make it very watery... Not sure if this is what it should be ?

  4. hello deepa,
    thanks for following my blog...
    i am sorry about that!!!
you should make it watery though!!!!
you should always sprinkle the batter as you sprinkle water on a pan!!!
make sure that you sprinkle on a super hot non stock pan....a thin coat should be enough...if you make thick it sticks to pan and it will not comfort you from lifting from pan!!!

let me know if you have any doubts!!!!!

    thank you,

    regards,
    Deepthi
